Patricia Woods has 46 years of higher education experience serving in student business service and executive managerial positions at a four-year private, not-for-profit institution. As one of FAS’s independent consultants for Student Business Services (SBS), she may be engaged to offer consulting services to bursar/student account offices to assess and enhance business processes, address compliance issues, and enhance customer service, among other concerns.

Her experience includes serving for 24 years as University Bursar, and more recently as executive director in the Division of Enrollment Services at Southern Methodist University (TX). She had a leadership role in the re-engineering of the Division of Enrollment Services at SMU. In prior years, she was the associate director of student financial services.

Pat has extensive experience with Oracle’s PeopleSoft software platform. In addition, she has used Sallie Mae’s Academic Management Services (AMS), Heartland’s Educational Computer Systems, Inc (ECIS), and University Account Services (UAS) third party services.

Pat is the founder (1995) and leader of Texas Bursars for Universities and Colleges (BUC$). She has served on the boards of the Independent Colleges & Universities of Texas (ICUT), National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO), and Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO). Over the years, she has made presentations at NACUBO, CABUBO, WACUBO, and Texas BUC$.

Pat has completed undergraduate business courses from El Centro College (TX) and leadership and business management institutes affiliated with CACUBO and WACUBO.
