LeChelle Davenport has over 16 years of student financial aid experience in both two-year and four-year public and four-year private institutions. LeChelle came to FAS in 2019. As a senior consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country. She provides Interim Staffing; Consulting and Assessment services to improve business processes strengthen compliance efforts and enhance student satisfaction.

LeChelle brings more than 16 years of financial aid, compliance and management experience that includes experience in higher education and the private sector. She was responsible for the direction, supervision and development of financial aid departments and has enhanced the student experience in regards to the administration of federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid programs.

She provides leadership, direct and evaluates the activities of the office and staff, and engages in the procurement of aid funds from federal, state, and private sources. She enjoys planning, implementing and executing the strategic vision of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services regarding financial programs and operational initiatives.

LeChelle is experienced with a couple of financial aid software systems, including Ellucian (SunGard) Banner and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid.

LeChelle is a member of NASFAA, SASFAA and the TN Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA) where she has served on several committees.

LeChelle holds a master’s degree in Organizational Management from Tusculum College. She has held the Director of Financial Aid position at The University of TN Health Science Center, Director of Financial Aid Operations at Delta Technical College, Director of Financial Aid at Southwest TN Community College, Director of Financial Aid at Mid-South Community College, Senior Financial Aid Counselor at Pellissippi State Community College and Compliance Analyst at Ed Financial Services.
