Maureen Anderson has over 27 years of student financial aid experience in two-year and four-year public, public technical, and professional private institutions. Maureen came to FAS in 2021. As a consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country. She provides Interim Staffing, Consulting and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts and enhance student satisfaction.
Her previous experience includes financial aid leadership positions at the College of Central Florida, Santa Fe College, Valencia College, Barry University School of Law, and Orange County Technical Education Centers. In addition, she served as the Dean of Enrollment Management at the College of Central Florida where her oversight included the offices of Financial Aid, Admissions, Enrollment Services, Records/ Registrar, Dual Enrollment, International Admissions, and Veterans Affairs.
Maureen is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Jenzabar CX, Ellucian Banner, and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid.
Maureen held leadership roles in the Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (FASFAA), participating in a variety of executive board positions, including two separate terms as FASFAA Vice President. Maureen has a strong professional development and training background. She has served in a variety of trainer and facilitator roles with organizations including the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA) New Aid Officer Training, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) Credentialing, and United States Department of Education Decentralized Training. Additionally, Maureen was the financial aid training coordinator at a large multi-campus community college during a sizable redesign of service delivery. She has served as a test question reviewer for several (NASFAA) credential tests. Maureen has earned several NASFAA credentials.
Maureen received her Bachelors of Science in Business Education at the University of Central Florida, her Master of Business Administration from Stetson University and completed the necessary coursework for a Doctor in Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Administration at the University of Florida.
