Crusie Lucero has over 35 years of student financial aid experience in two-year public, four-year private and for-profit institutions. Crusie comes to Financial Aid Services (FAS) most recently from Northeast State Community College where she served as director of financial aid for 15 years. She also served as director of financial aid at Walters State Community College, Bristol College and Steed College.
She is experienced with several financial aid software programs, including Ellucian (SunGard) Banner, SIS PLUS, and the U.S. Department of Education’s Student Aid platforms, including the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system, FAA-Access and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
Crusie served as 2001-2002 national chair of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) and has been active in many of the association’s committees. She was president, vice president and secretary of the Southern Association of Student Financial Administrators (SASFAA) and was president and treasurer of the Tennessee Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA). She has served as trainer at the national, regional and state level, delivering presentations on student financial aid and the TRIO program.
Crusie received her Bachelor of Science in Business Education from East Tennessee State University.
