Ken Garrett is a 17-year veteran of financial aid, with experience in admissions, financial aid and strategic enrollment management. At FAS, he promotes awareness of the firm’s services within the higher education communities, and leverages and strengthens key relationships with financial aid officers. He represents FAS at conferences and meetings across the country, oversees the content of the FAS website, and assists in editing the newsletter, “The FAS Compass.”
Prior to joining FAS, Ken served as business development manager at Boston-based American Student Assistance, a nonprofit service and advocacy organization that helps students and families manage education debt. He was previously a product management specialist at Education First in Tampa, FL and assistant director of financial aid at Emory University.
During his career, Ken has taken an active leadership role in financial aid associations at the national, state and local level, including the National Association of Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). He has served on a host of committees, including long-range planning, professional development and communications.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University in Education as well as a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Bellevue University.
