Lisa Lowery began her work in higher education more than 15 years ago. She has experience in both the financial aid and student financial services office. Lisa has worked in four-year public and private, as well as two-year public institutions. 

Prior to joining FAS, she was senior accountant at Emory University Office of Financial Aid.  She was responsible for reconciling the federal, state and scholarship programs in accordance with Emory’s financial system.  She designed a process to be able to reconcile Emory’s loan funds in Oracle Peoplesoft and Emory’s financial system.  She also served as assistant director of the loan program.  She was instrumental in setting up Emory’s School as Lender program in Oracle Peoplesoft.  She also worked as financial aid advisor at Emory University. 

Lisa has extensive experience with Oracle Peoplesoft.  She also has experience with SunGard Banner, Datatel Colleague, legacy systems, and the U.S. Department of Education’s EDExpress, EDconnect, NSLDS, and COD software systems. 

Lisa is a member of the Georgia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (GASFAA), the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA), and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). 

Lisa received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix and a Masters of Accounting and Financial Management from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management.
