Peggy McLendon

Peggy McLendon, has over 18 years of experience in higher education where she has worked in both the private and public sectors. 

Prior to joining FAS, Peggy served as director of financial aid at Mansfield Business College and acting director of financial aid at Benedict College, both located in Columbia, SC.

During her 12 years at Emory University in Atlanta, Peggy served as a senior counselor and processed loans, performed verification, monitored Return of Title IV aid, performed training of co-workers, and assisted with the implementation of Oracle PeopleSoft. She has extensive knowledge in need analysis, both federal and institutional methodologies.

Peggy has experience with various financial aid systems, including Oracle PeopleSoft, SunGard Banner, FAM, FAM Plus, College Board PowerFAIDS, and the U.S. Department of Education’s EDExpress software systems.

During her financial aid career she has been a member of the Georgia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (GASFAA), the South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SCASFAA) and the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA).

Peggy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College.
