Darylann Thomas has worked in the financial aid profession for more than 18 years. In her position as a senior consultant and banner specialist with FAS, she specializes in financial aid regulations, compliance, and assisting schools in the effective use of SunGard Banner software.

Darylann assists educational institutions with service delivery, staff evaluations, training, and development. She has performed technical assessments, implemented and re-engineered SunGard Banner software, and instituted operational procedures.

She has served as an associate director of financial aid, assistant vice president for enrollment management, and Banner systems analyst for various institutions.

In addition to her extensive Banner knowledge, Darylann has experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, College Board PowerFAIDS, and the U.S. Department of Education’s EDExpress, COD System and NSLDS.

Prior to joining FAS, Darylann was a business analyst with the Georgia Board of Regents, where she was part of the team responsible for the development, testing and implementation of the Banner financial aid module, including Georgia-specific modifications for the 34 university-system schools in Georgia. She also worked in the office of student financial aid at the University of Georgia, where she gained experience evaluating loan eligibility, counseling students and processing loan disbursements.

Darylann received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia.
