Susan Rose has over 25 years of higher education related experience serving in student business services and executive managerial positions at two-year public and four-year private institutions. As one of Financial Aid Services’ (FAS) independent consultants for Student Business Services (SBS), she may be engaged to offer consulting services to bursar/student account offices to assess and enhance business processes, address compliance issues and enhance customer service, among other concerns.

Her experience includes serving as director of student account services at Rollins College (FL). Prior to this, she was treasurer and director of student financial services at University of St. Thomas, (TX), and served as interim vice president of finance for a four-month period. She began her career at Lee College (TX) as an accountant.

Susan is experienced with Oracle PeopleSoft and Ellucian Banner ERPs, as well as with Heartland/ECSI, Nelnet QuikPay and Commerce Manager, and Flywire Education third party systems.

Susan has served on the board of Texas Bursars for Universities and Colleges (BUC$), and as a member of the PeopleSoft Product Advisory Group and its Product Advisory Committee--Student Financial module. She has presented at PeopleSoft Alliance conferences, National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) conferences, and various vendor user group conferences.

Susan received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Houston (TX) and has completed over 12 graduate hours at University of Houston-Clear Lake (TX) and University of St. Thomas (TX).
