
FINANCIAL AID VETERAN KEN GARRETT
JOINS FINANCIAL AID SERVICES
ATLANTA, February 7, 2011 – Financial Aid Services (FAS), an Atlanta-based interim staffing and consulting firm that helps colleges and universities optimize their financial aid operations, has named Ken Garrett Director of Client Relations. He will promote awareness of the firm’s services within the higher education community, and leverage and strengthen key relationships with financial aid officers.
A 17-year veteran of financial aid services sales and administration, Garrett most recently served as Business Development Manager at Boston-based American Student Assistance, a nonprofit services and advocacy organization that helps students and families manage education debt. He previously was a product management specialist at Education First in Tampa, Fla., and assistant director of financial aid at Emory University.
Garrett is a long-time member of the national as well as numerous regional and state associations of financial aid administrators. He has served on a host of committees, including long-range planning, professional development and communications.
An Atlanta native, Garrett holds a M.A. in Leadership from Bellevue University and a B.S. in Education from Georgia State University. Active in his community, he is a volunteer for the Arts Council and Zoo Atlanta.
