THOMAS HASKINS FINANCIAL AID PROJECT COORDINATOR

ATLANTA, December 15, 2010 – Financial Aid Services (FAS), an Atlanta-based management consulting firm that helps colleges and universities optimize their financial aid operations, has named Thomas D. Haskins a Financial Aid Project Coordinator. He will serve as a liaison between client financial aid offices and FAS, coordinate financial aid processing, and manage the Federal Direct Loan Program.

A 17-year financial aid veteran, Haskins brings a broad range of skills to FAS, including process improvement and change management, operations management and customer relations. He previously served as a Student Loan/Scholarship/Financial Aid Advisor at Clark Atlanta University. Earlier in his career, he was a Regional Account Manager at Urban Trust Bank/Urban Ed Express in Bethesda, Md., and a Regional Marketing Manager at Independence Federal Bank in Silver Springs, Md.  He has also held financial aid positions since 1993 at Eastern Michigan University, Dallas County Community College and the Art Institute of Atlanta.

Haskins holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and a Masters of Art Organizational Management degree from the University of Phoenix.
