
FINANCIAL AID SERVICES ANNOUNCES
FORMER NASFAA CHAIR, JUDY SCHNEIDER, JOINS FAS
ATLANTA, November 15, 2010 – Financial Aid Services (FAS), an Atlanta-based management consulting firm that helps colleges and universities optimize their financial aid operations, has named Judy Schneider, Senior Financial Aid Consultant. She will provide on-site consulting in college financial aid offices across the country and serve in interim positions where needed.
Schneider has more than 30 years of student financial aid experience in both public and private institutions. Prior to joining FAS, she served as a national value-added consultant with Chase Student Loans, where she developed solutions to help student financial aid offices improve their business processes and promote professional development.
Her previous experience includes tenure with the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), where she was Manager of the organization’s Professional Excellence Programs. Earlier in her career, she served as Assistant Vice President and Director of Financial Aid at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Schneider served as NASFAA’s National Chair from 1998-1999, and has been active on many of the association’s committees. She was President and Treasurer of both the Southwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SWASFAA) and the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA).
She holds a bachelor’s of science degree and master’s degree in business administration from Texas Christian University.
