Executive Vice President
Ken Garrett is a 27-year veteran of higher education, with experience in admissions, financial aid, enrollment management, and education finance. At FAS, he promotes awareness of the firm’s services in the higher education communities and leverages and strengthens key relationships with college and university administrators. Ken represents FAS at conferences and meetings across the country, manages the FAS website and social media, and assists in developing thought leadership content.
Before joining FAS, Ken served as a business development manager at American Student Assistance, a nonprofit service and advocacy organization that helps students and families manage education debt. He was previously an account manager and product management specialist at Education First (a Sallie Mae, Chase JV). Earlier in his career, Ken served as assistant director of financial aid at Emory University.
During his career, Ken has taken an active leadership role in financial aid associations at the national, state, and local levels, including the National Association of Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). He has served on a host of committees, including long-range planning, professional development, and communications.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University in Education as well as a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Bellevue University.
