Barbara Cloutier, FAAC®


Barbara has over 20 years of student financial aid experience in both two-year and four-year public and four-year private institutions. Barbara came to FAS in 2018. As a consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country. She provides Interim Staffing, Consulting and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts, and enhance student satisfaction.

Her background includes 15 years at University of Wisconsin-Stout (Menomonie, WI) where she ascended the ranks and worked in a variety of financial aid roles. Barbara also served as Financial Aid Manager at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Her additional experience includes Financial Aid Director roles at Saint Martin’s University (WA) and Peninsula College (WA).

Barbara is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Banner, Oracle PeopleSoft, College Board’s PowerFAIDS and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid.

Barbara holds NASFAA Certification as a Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC®) and holds added credentialing in Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), Verification and Application Process (24-25).  and Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4). She is an accomplished presenter and trainer. She has been a Student Employment Trainer with the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators (MASEA)

Barbara received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Columbia College of Missouri. She is a proud Veteran of the United States Navy.
