Daniel Doran

Daniel Doran is an independent financial aid consultant with 5 years of experience specializing in Title IV compliance and operational support, with particular expertise in Return to Title IV (R2T4) and eligibility determinations.

He has held roles as a Financial Aid Administrator and R2T4 Specialist at Los Angeles Film School, as well as Senior Assistant Director, Eligibility at the University of Southern California (USC). In these positions, Daniel supported high-volume, high-complexity financial aid operations and played a key role in ensuring accurate and timely compliance with federal regulations.

His hands-on expertise includes verification and R2T4, and he has led institutional training on R2T4 and eligibility, helping staff interpret regulations and apply them consistently in daily operations. He has supported federal compliance efforts and worked closely with Registrar teams to align enrollment data and aid eligibility.

Daniel is proficient in CampusVue and holds the NASFAA R2T4 Specialist Designation, along with extensive NASFAA credentials covering the application process, eligibility, need analysis, cost of attendance, professional judgment, SAP, consumer information, verification, Pell Grants, campus-based programs, and the TEACH Grant.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Daniel brings a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth to his consulting work. Outside of work, he enjoys running and recently participated in the NASFAA 5K at the 2025 Anaheim conference.
