Heather Hollandsworth, Ed.D
Senior Consultant
Dr. Heather Hollandsworth has over 22 years of student financial aid experience in four-year private institutions. Heather came to FAS in 2023. As a consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country. She provides Interim Staffing, Consulting, and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts and enhance the student experience.
Her previous experience includes working as a financial aid director at Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia. Heather is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Colleague and SAP Business Objects, along with the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid.
Heather has been an active member of the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (VASFAA),the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA), and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). Throughout her career, Heather has served on as Treasurer-Elect, President- Elect, President and Past President of the VASFAA Board of Directors, as well as a state representative of the SASFAA Board of Directors. She has also been a member of various committees and projects.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ferrum College, a Master of Liberal Studies from Hollins University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Organizational Innovation from Marymount University.
