Heidi Wisby

Heidi has over 30 years of student financial aid experience in both two-year and four-year public and four-year private institutions. Heidi came to FAS in 2020. As a consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country. She provides Interim Staffing, Consulting and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts and enhance student satisfaction.

Heidi has worked at community colleges, as well as public and private universities, assisting students from the certificate through graduate and professional levels. She has held many financial aid positions throughout her career, including several years as director. She is active in both her state financial aid association as well as NASFAA.

Heidi is proficient in many areas of financial aid administration, including Title IV compliance, performing professional judgement (PJ), verification, processing Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4),  calculating and monitoring Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP),  fund management, clock hour programs and packaging federal, state, and institutional aid.  She has completed many FISAPs and applications for Title IV recertification (EAPP) timely and accurately.  Heidi works well with auditors and is able to effectively respond to audit findings.   She also has a background in Financial Literacy and Default Management.

Heidi is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Banner, Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague, Jenzabar, PeopleSoft and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications for administering Federal Student Aid.
