Mary Cannon
Consultant
Mary has over 23 years of higher education and student financial aid experience at private, proprietary, and public institutions. Mary has been consulting for over 10 years and came to FAS in 2023. As a consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country and provides Interim Staffing, Coaching, Program Review Support, Consulting, Training, Operational and Compliance Review, and Policy and Procedure Review/Writing.
Mary has been a director of financial aid for over 20 years and has assisted students and institutions from certificate to professional level programs. She has experience with many different financial aid software systems including CAMS, Ellucian Colleague, Jenzabar, PowerFAIDS, PeopleSoft, and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and websites for administering Federal Student Aid.
Mary is active in NASFAA as well as her state’s financial aid association. She has served in many different capacities which includes over 13 years in Outreach.
Mary earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Dominican University and her Master of Science in Management degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
