Nakol Bowman

Nakol Bowman is an independent financial aid consultant with 20+ years of experience in financial aid eligibility, processing, and operational quality assurance across multiple higher education environments.

She has held progressively responsible roles including Financial Aid Counselor (Eligibility) and Eligibility Manager at Houston Community College, and multiple senior leadership and operational roles at Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA), where she served as Senior Associate Director, Associate Director, Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, Fiscal Operations Manager, and Senior Processor. Earlier in her career, she also worked as a Financial Aid Processor at IADT, building a strong foundation in front-line aid administration.

Nakol brings hands-on expertise in verification, packaging, and state scholarship administration, with experience supporting Federal Work-Study (FWS), Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Student Aid Grant (FSAG), Direct Loans, and Pell Grants. Her background spans both operational processing and oversight functions, giving her a strong eye for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

She is proficient in Colleague and CampusLogic, and served as a subject matter expert for CampusNexus, where she tested system functionality to ensure accuracy and usability for financial aid operations. She has partnered closely with Admissions and Registrar teams to support eligibility determinations and enrollment alignment.

Nakol holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Warner University and an Associate of Arts in Business from South Florida State College. She is a former member of SAASFA and brings a detail-oriented, quality-focused approach to her consulting work.
