Paula Carollo

Paula Carollo has over 25 years of student financial aid experience serving in two- and four-year public institutions, as well as four-year private institutions. She also has experience with smaller proprietary institutions. She came to FAS in 2023 and as a consultant she supports financial aid offices nationwide. She provides Interim Staffing, Consulting, Assessing and Processing services. She has worked with institutions on FVT/GE reporting, Federal Work Study Reconciliation, State Aid reporting and reconciliation, Pell and Direct Loan Reconciliation, R2T4, SAP, EdExpress file uploads, Verification, and Professional Judgements.

Paula’s career in financial aid began in 1996 as a Financial Aid Technician, then transitioned to the Senior Financial Aid office for a professional pilot program, both fixed wing and rotary, at Sierra Academy of Aeronautics. Working at a small proprietary, clock hour institution, Paula gained valuable experience and served students, parents, and the institution with integrity. She also worked as an Associate Registrar at Arkansas’ largest community college and was named Employee of the Year in 2008.

Paula is experienced working in financial aid software systems including Banner and Colleague in addition to the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and websites for administering federal Financial Aid. She is compassionate and detail-oriented.
