Peter Panoulias

Peter Panoulias is an independent financial aid consultant with 18 years of experience in financial aid compliance, campus operations, and leadership, with a strong focus on student-facing service models.

He has spent his career at Hillsborough College, serving as Associate Director of Financial Aid for Campus Operations, Financial Aid Manager, and Financial Aid Counselor. In these roles, Peter led front-line financial aid operations and ensured compliance across complex federal and state aid programs while maintaining a high standard of student service.

His expertise includes verification, reconciliation, packaging, and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), along with administration of a wide range of aid programs, including FSEOG, FSAG, Bright Futures, state scholarships and grants, external and institutional scholarships, clock-hour programs, and HEERF funds. He has supported both federal and state compliance in high-volume, student-facing environments.

Peter brings strong systems expertise, with proficiency in Colleague, CampusLogic, and Who’s Next, and has served as a CampusLogic super user, supporting system adoption, training, and optimization. He collaborates closely with Admissions, Registrar, Advising, Veterans Affairs, Honors, and Athletics teams to ensure coordinated student support.

He holds a Master of Arts in Human Services with a concentration in Executive Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership. Peter is recognized as a Distinguished Member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and is a military veteran, bringing a service-oriented, disciplined leadership approach to his consulting work. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and exploring great food.
