Full Service Client Services Coordinator

Financial Aid Services (FAS) is seeking to hire qualified financial aid professionals. The positions are permanent, full-time and located in our Atlanta office.

Ideal candidates will be skilled financial aid administrators with a minimum of five years of financial aid experience. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of Title IV programs and proficiency with one of the commonly-used financial aid management systems (PowerFAIDS is most preferred). Working knowledge of EdConnect/EdExpress, NSLDS, and COD systems is essential for this position.

The successful candidates will assist FAS’ Full Service Manager as needed with awarding aid to students including originating and disbursing federal funds, adjusting awards as needed, verification, c-code resolution, R2T4 calculations, reconciliation and other duties as assigned.

Preferred candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills and a college degree. Financial aid supervisory or management experience is a plus.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Student Business Services Consultant for Interim Staffing

FAS Student Business Services is seeking a business officer, with extensive experience in higher education student account administration at a managerial level, to join our team and fulfill interim staffing engagements. Interim staffing is intermittent work that is full-time for the length of the engagement.  Relocation is not necessary, but weekly travel is required.  Successful applicants must have:

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Comprehensive knowledge of student account activities including billing and collections of tuition, fees and other charges; disbursement and refund processes; cashiering; internal controls; reconciliation; loan servicing; vendor management; e-commerce; and Title IV, PCI and other relevant compliance measures
  • Ability to work in diverse and complex environments with campus administrators and their staff including those in the business office, financial aid, registrar, enrollment management, auxiliary services, and others
  • Management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Functional knowledge of one or more of the widely-used ERP systems—Banner, Colleague, PeopleSoft, Jenzabar and/or CAMS—helpful but not required
  • Prior professional experience of at least 10 years at the manager or director level in student business services (i.e., bursar, student financial services, student accounts)
  • A bachelor’s degree (an advanced degree is highly desirable)

Financial Aid Consultant

Financial Aid Services is seeking financial aid professionals to fill interim management, counseling and processing positions. Our consultants serve as interim professional staff in college and university financial aid offices. In a consulting capacity, they provide project management, assessments and analyses of all aspects in a financial aid office, guidance to optimize technology use, and direction to respond to audits and reviews. Relocation is not mandatory. However, extensive travel is required as is a valid U.S. Driver’s License.

The successful applicants will have:

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Title IV programs
  • The ability to work in diverse and complex environments with campus staff at all levels
  • Management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as members of administrative teams
  • A functional knowledge of automated financial aid management systems is required. Proficiency in the use of The College Board’s PowerFAIDS, Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, Oracle PeopleSoft, Jenzabar and/or CAMS.

Prior professional experience, of no less than 10 years at the associate director and/or director level, is required to serve in leadership positions. A bachelor’s degree is required and an advance degree is highly desirable. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Financial Aid Consultant for Interim Staffing
(PeopleSoft Experience Required)

Independent Consultants with Oracle PeopleSoft Experience

Financial Aid Services (FAS) is specifically seeking experienced financial aid professionals, with strong functional knowledge in Oracle PeopleSoft, to fill interim managerial and director-level positions. Our consultants serve as interim professional staff in college and university financial aid offices. In this capacity, they provide leadership/management and guide all aspects of the financial aid office on a temporary basis. Engagements average 12 to 36 weeks and require extensive (weekly) travel throughout the country. This recruitment is not for remote consulting projects.

The successful applicants must have:

  • A functional knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft’s Student Administration ERP
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Title IV programs
  • The ability to work in diverse and complex environments with campus staff at all levels
  • Management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as members of administrative teams

Relocation is not mandatory. However, extensive overnight travel is required on a weekly basis, up to four to five days each week.

Positions are contractual and project-based.  FAS consultants are seasoned, financial aid administrators. Prior professional experience, of no less than 10 years at the associate director and/or director level, is required to serve in leadership positions. A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is highly desirable.  Compensation is commensurate with experience. Strongest preference will be given to those with the experience outlined above obtained from working in the public, or private nonprofit, institutional setting.

FAS Financial Aid Analysts
